Dental Office in Newmarket
The strip plaza near GO station has long been waiting for a dentist to complete the mix of neighbourhood oriented businesses serving the community. Challenged with an irregular shape, the design strategy is to keep main spaces simple and resolve complex geometry in service spaces. The client wanted a muted, bright yet sophisticated material pallet, which has been achieved with the use of natural oak wood panels, dark stone and various shades of light grays on floor and walls. All exterior glazings have been replaced with better quality window system to enhance its thermal and acoustic performance while keeping the look in sync with the rest of plaza. Lighting in reception area is warm and inviting, however latest industry software has calculated lumen levels to appropriate lighting strategy in the rest of office to specific needs of dental operations.
